Officers are appealing for information following reports of telecommunication cables being damaged in Canterbury

It was reported that between the evening of Friday 7 June and the early hours of Saturday 8 June 2024, wires were cut in nine locations across the city, including Heaton Road, Bishops Way, Beaconsfield Road, Hardy Road, Forty Acres Road, Westgate Court Avenue, Beverley Road, and New Ruttington Lane.

Between the evening of Tuesday 11 June and the following morning, seven more telegraph poles were found damaged, in Squire Avenue, Shipman Avenue and Wife of Bath Hill.

Anyone who was in those areas at the time and saw anything suspicious is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/96238/24.
