The theft happened around 10.20pm on Tuesday, 4 October 2022. Volunteers quickly alerted police after discovering the furry friends gone from their cages.

Thankfully, four of the stolen guinea pigs were found abandoned the very next day in a park near Woodland Avenue, Hartley. One is still missing.

Police Release CCTV Image of Suspects

Inspector Matt Atkinson from the Sevenoaks Community Safety Unit said: “This charity is run by volunteers who care for animals that can no longer be kept by owners or have suffered cruelty. It’s heartbreaking that these animals have been victimised again by thieves.”

“We have now released images of two men who may help with our enquiries. We urge residents and dog walkers to keep an eye out for the missing guinea pig.”
