Paraguayan Hero Maureen Montanía Bags Prestigious Diana Award!
Young Changemaker Honoured
Maureen Montanía, 26, from Paraguay, has been crowned with The Diana Award. This top honour recognises young people who make a real difference in their communities through social action and humanitarian work.
Championing the Invisible Gifted
Growing up in Paraguay’s unequal society, Maureen saw gifted kids left in the shadows. She fights for these overlooked talents through her ‘Aikumby Laboratory’ project. Her mission? To help gifted children and teenagers unlock their true potential.
Transforming Lives with Talent Workshops
Maureen’s efforts don’t stop there. She’s provided talent development workshops to more than 20 families and institutions. By training pros in spotting and supporting giftedness, her work has changed lives with vital family and educational guidance for over a year.
Diana Award CEO Praises Maureen
“We warmly congratulate our new Diana Award recipients from the UK and across the world who are changemakers for their generation,” says Tessy Ojo CBE, CEO of The Diana Award. “It is especially poignant as we remember Princess Diana twenty-five years on. We know by receiving this honour they will inspire more young people to get involved in their communities and begin their own journey as active citizens.”
