Man Arrested Over Croydon Stabbing Murder
Alex Pasley, 25, from Coulsdon, was arrested just before midnight on Monday, 29 March, at an address in Sutton. He was taken to a south London police station.
Charged With Murder and Attempted Murder
On Tuesday, 30 March, Pasley was charged with the murder of Lavaun Witter, the attempted murder of a 16-year-old boy, and possession of a bladed article. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 31 March.
Tragic Croydon Stabbing
Lavaun Witter, 22, was fatally stabbed on Wisbeach Road, Croydon, on 5 February. The case has rattled the local community.
Three Others Charged Over Same Attack
- Tyreece Riggon, 20, of Armistice Gardens, SE25
- Julian Russell, 22, of Sanfield Road, CR7
- Tyreece Wolfries-Parkin, 18, of Rothesay Road, SE25
All three face charges of murder, wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to the 16-year-old, and possession of a bladed article. They’ll be in the dock at the Old Bailey on 10 May 2021.
