Emergency services scrambled to Northwood Hills Underground Station just before 12:32pm today after reports of a person trapped under a train on the southbound platform. The scene quickly turned grim as firefighters, paramedics, and British Transport Police (BTP) arrived within minutes.

Line Grind to a Halt – Commuters Face Major Delays

Transport for London (TfL) confirmed severe delays on the Metropolitan Line due to the ongoing incident. Passengers have been urged to find alternative routes immediately as the station remains cordoned off and emergency crews work tirelessly to manage the situation.

TfL has announced that tickets will be accepted on local buses and alternative tube routes while the disruption persists. Commuters were left shaken. One passenger, James Warren, said:

“We were just about to board when the announcements started, and staff began guiding people out. You could sense something serious had happened.”
