Massive Blaze Destroys Workshop in Night-time Inferno
Firefighters tackled a huge blaze that gutted a single-storey commercial workshop, measuring 75 by 20 metres. The fire ripped through the entire building, causing 100% damage. Nearby, a second building suffered damage to about 25% of its structure.
Massive Firefighting Effort with Jets, Ladder, and Drone
At the peak of the chaos, 11 fire engines were deployed from locations including Gerrards Cross, Langley, Slough, Beaconsfield, Hillingdon, Windsor, Tinkers Lane, Hayes, and Heathrow. Crews used four main water jets and an aerial appliance to fight the flames. A thermal imaging drone from Thames Valley Police helped spot hotspots in the smoke and darkness. Six fire officers and a control unit coordinated the massive multi-agency response.
No Injuries as Firefighters Battle Through the Night
South Central Ambulance Service stood by, but thankfully no injuries were reported. The full response was scaled back just after 11.20pm, though four appliances including a turntable ladder stayed on-site overnight. One crew remained until around 8am the next morning to monitor lingering hot spots.
Fire Investigators Search for Cause After Hand-Back
Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras and hose reel jets to keep the site damp and prevent flare-ups during reinspections Friday morning. The site was officially handed back to the responsible party at around 1pm. A full fire investigation is now underway to determine what sparked the devastating blaze.
