Tragic Crash on A34: Woman Dies in Horror Smash

Thames Valley Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal single-car crash on the A34 northbound near South Hinksey this morning.

At around 10.07am on January 26, a red Jaguar smashed into a slip-road barrier. The driver, a woman in her forties from Kent, sadly died at the scene. Her family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.

Investigation Underway as Road Closures Cause Chaos

No one else was hurt in the collision, but emergency teams remain at the scene carrying out investigations and recovery work. Diversions are in place, and drivers are urged to steer clear of the area.

“We are investigating the circumstances of this road traffic collision in which a woman has sadly died. My thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time,” said Sergeant Matt Cadmore of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit.

“We are appealing for the public’s help. If you witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage, please come forward.”
