Investigators believe all the recovered items were stolen during a spate of burglaries across Kent and London. Several owners have already been identified, thanks to ongoing enquiries.
Sergeant Warns: Farm Crime Rampant in Kent, Owners Urged to Protect Property
“At this stage no arrests have been made but we continue to carry out our enquiries and we are still in the process of identifying the owners of these items. Burglary is such an intrusive crime and costly for victims and we are pleased to have recovered this equipment and been able to get some of it back to the rightful owners,” said Sergeant Darren Walshaw of the RTF.
Kent’s abundance of farms and smallholdings makes it a target for criminals hunting high-value gear like tractors, quad bikes, and horse boxes. Sergeant Walshaw urged owners to clearly mark their property to speed up recovery if theft occurs.
“My team regularly provides farmers and business owners with advice on safeguarding their equipment. We also deal with wildlife offences and fly-tipping,” he added.
