At approximately 10.10pm on Thursday April 20, a 16-year-old boy was walking home from the gym along Park Lane when a dark blue Volkswagen Golf stopped beside them as they passed the National Probation Service offices and on to Marshfield Road.
The driver alighted the vehicle and assaulted the victim.
He then got back into the car and drove off heading west along Marshfield Road.
Following the incident, a white Mercedes vehicle stopped and the driver got out to assist the victim, who sustained cuts and scrapes to his arm and face.
We would like to speak to the occupants of this vehicle as they may be able to assist with their our enquiries to identify the suspect.
