Suspect Caught on Camera Trying to Break Into Car
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question after a bizarre incident on Barden Road on Monday, 8 July 2024. The suspect was first seen fiddling with the door handle of a blue Ford Fiesta at around 12.15pm.
Thief Breaks into Boot, Threatens Witness with Wrench
Moments later, the man returned and forced his way into the car’s boot. A passerby grew suspicious and confronted him. The suspect then allegedly threatened the man with what appeared to be a wrench before fleeing the scene.
Police Conduct House-to-House and Hunt Suspect
Officers have since been going door-to-door and scouring CCTV footage. They are eager to speak with the man pictured in the released image as he could assist in their ongoing investigation.
