Police Launch Air Support Search for Missing Gosport Pensioner
Police have scrambled a national air support helicopter and Hampshire Search and Rescue (HANTSAR) teams to find 78-year-old Joyce Crouthers, missing from her Gosport home.
Last Seen Near Honeysuckle Close
Joyce was last spotted around 4:50pm on Wednesday at her home on Honeysuckle Close. She’s now been missing for over 24 hours. Her family fears for her safety, as she left without her medication and may be confused about where she is.
Description and Search Efforts Underway
- White female, 5ft 6ins
- Large build with very short brown hair
- Likely wearing dark clothes and carrying a small dark handbag
The police helicopter has been using thermal imaging cameras to comb woodland areas around Gosport and nearby Fareham through the evening. Meanwhile, HANTSAR volunteers are scouring a nearby golf course in Lee-on-the-Solent.
