A 17-year-old boy has tragically lost his life in a serious motorcycle crash in Beare Green, Dorking. The fatal smash on the A24 Horsham Road sparked a major police response and road closure, leaving local commuters stranded.

The crash happened just after 5pm on Wednesday, March 12. Surrey Police and emergency crews rushed to the scene on the southbound carriageway between Flint Hill roundabout and Beare Green roundabout. Despite desperate efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Only a single motorcycle was involved. No other vehicles took part in the collision.
“His next-of-kin have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this time,” said Surrey Police.
The A24 was shut down for several hours during peak evening traffic while officers conducted a detailed collision investigation. The closure caused major delays in the area.
