Early Morning Inferno Sparks Emergency Response

Emergency crews rushed to Mulberry Farm on Station Road at 1.40am today (22 March) following reports of a fierce fire and multiple explosions.

Massive Diesel Fire Engulfs Eight Lorries

Over 20 firefighters battled the blaze, which involved eight lorries, each carrying 250-300 litres of highly flammable diesel. The vehicles were completely engulfed when crews arrived.

Police Launch Major Investigation

Detectives have launched a full-scale inquiry, collecting CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and conducting door-to-door enquiries in Longstanton.

Detective Inspector Verity McCann urged: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the Longstanton area in the lead up to the fire who may have seen or heard anything. Please contact us – any information, however small, could be crucial.”
