Police Helicopter Scours Maidstone in Late-Night Search
A police helicopter was scrambled in the dead of night over Maidstone following an urgent call from Kent Police.
Chaos in Park Wood
Officers rushed to the Park Wood area just before 1am on Thursday, November 5th. Eyewitnesses reported the force helicopter circling overhead for about an hour.
- One local said: “The helicopter was over our house and a police car came down from Sutton Road.”
- Another added: “I saw the helicopter for ages from my bedroom window. It was circling then stopped really close.”
- “It was hovering with a searchlight for 20-odd minutes. It woke me up,” a resident revealed.

Kent Police confirmed they called in air support to assist with an active investigation but have not released any further information.
