British Transport Police are hunting a man following a savage attack on a London Overground train near Denmark Hill station. The violent fight was filmed and quickly spread across social media. It happened on the service running between Clapham Junction and Dalston Junction.
Heated argument turns to fistfight
The footage shows two men arguing before the situation explodes into violence. Eyewitnesses say the older man, in a white T-shirt and dark shorts, called the younger man “Afroman.” The younger man, wearing a checked shirt over a yellow T-shirt, then punched the older man, knocking him out cold on the train floor.
Passengers intervene as victim lies unconscious
Terrified passengers tried to break up the fight. One woman can be heard pleading, “It’s not worth it, babe.” The video ends with the victim unconscious, surrounded by shocked onlookers urging the attacker to calm down.
Police appeal for witnesses
The British Transport Police have urged anyone who saw the incident or knows the assailant to come forward. A spokesperson said the attack likely happened near Denmark Hill on the London Overground between Clapham Junction and Dalston Junction.
