Teen Thugs Fire Fireworks at Shoppers in Swindon

On Tuesday evening, young boys on bikes terrorised Swindon town centre by firing fireworks at people and shops near the Brunel Centre and later the Wyvern Theatre. The gang had two husky dogs with them during the chaos.

Police Hunt Dangerous Gang After Wild Firework Attacks

Between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, multiple reports flooded in about the reckless fireworks assault. Officers quickly patrolled the area and spotted the teenagers, but they sped off towards Railway Village on their bikes before police could catch them.

Community Policing Warns of Serious Danger

PC Lee Wheeldon said: “This caused genuine fear to those who were targeted and it is only luck that prevented somebody being seriously hurt.”

“Fireworks used irresponsibly can cause life-changing injuries. We are working hard to find those responsible. If you recognise anyone, please get in touch.”
