Police Hunt Witnesses After Woman Attacked in Gosport
Police are on the lookout after a woman was grabbed and pushed during a shocking assault in Gosport.
Attack Under Anns Hill Road Bridge
The 21-year-old victim was walking beneath the Anns Hill Road bridge around 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 24, when a man suddenly grabbed her shoulders and shoved her backwards. She fought him off, and he fled the scene without causing physical injury. The woman was left shaken but unhurt.
Suspect Described as Older Man with Grey Hair
Officers describe the suspect as:
- White male, aged in his 50s or 60s
- About 5ft 1ins tall
- Grey hair
- Wore glasses and a tan jacket
Police Appeal for Witnesses, Especially Kids on Bikes
Police Constable Matt Curson said: “This is a rare occurrence for the area and we would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident.”
“We are particularly keen to speak to three people, possibly boys, who were seen on push bikes nearby at the time as they may have seen the offender.”
