Southampton Sensation FooR to Close Fairweather Festival 2018

Fairweather Festival is back for 2018 on Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September – and we can exclusively reveal that South Coast electronic wizards FooR will close the show on Saturday night!

Who Are FooR?

FooR are a powerhouse collective of producers, musicians, and DJs who’ve rocked the electronic scene for over a decade. Hailing from the South Coast, these guys have crisscrossed genres with remixes under various aliases, playing festivals and clubs worldwide.

This summer, FooR launched their own label and events brand, FooRwd, dropping two fresh mixtapes. Their RwD mix is classic old-school garage hosted by MC Alasdair from Artful Dodger – already turning heads. The FooRwD mixtape features original and remixed tracks, including a fiery spin on Skepta’s “That’s Not Me” and their catching new single “Attention.”

Hits and Highlights

FooR burst onto the scene with a killer rework of the UK garage gem “I’m Sorry,” featuring soulful vocals from Cameron Bloomfield. Premiered by Mistajam on BBC 1Xtra, the track enjoyed heavy rotation across 1, 1Xtra, and Kiss FM. It’s clocked over 97,000 SoundCloud plays and 119,000 Vevo views – plus it landed on the Kiss Fresh playlist.

They’ve also remixed Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” and Ultra Nate’s “Free,” both hitting number one on DJ 1 UK downloads. The Ultra Nate remix was DJ City’s most downloaded track in January and made waves on Twitter’s Hype Machine charts. These successes have catapulted FooR’s sound beyond the UK, carving new global territory.

Fairweather Festival: More Than Music

Fairweather Festival is a unique two-day family-friendly bash on the Isle of Wight with a heart and mission. It champions young people’s mental health, using the power of music to break down stigma.

The festival donates a hefty slice of profits to charity and hosts mental health organisations to offer advice and support. With world-class acts and a cause that matters, Fairweather Festival is smashing the mold of standard fests.

Backing the Isle of Wight Youth Trust

This year, all efforts help the Isle of Wight Youth Trust continue providing vital mental health services for local youngsters. Fairweather is not just a party – it’s a lifeline.
