Banksy’s Latest Masterpiece Destroyed Hours After Appearance in Kent

A stunning new Banksy mural was found painted on a farmhouse wall in Deal, Kent—only to be torn down within hours. The artwork, featuring a silhouette of a boy and his cat perched behind corrugated iron ‘curtains’ on a bricked-up window, appeared on a 500-year-old farmhouse at Blacksole Farm near Herne Bay.

Builders Tear Down Banksy Without Realising

Shockingly, builders on site began demolishing the wall the very day the mural appeared, preparing for a new housing development of 67 homes. Contractors only realised the piece was by the famed street artist after demolition started. “It made me feel sick,” said builder George Caudwell. “We were gutted. The landowner had no idea either.”

Banksy Shares Demolition Photo with Cryptic Caption

The elusive artist later posted a photo of the mural’s destruction on Instagram, captioning it “Morning is Broken.” This isn’t Banksy’s first surprise hit in Kent – just weeks ago, a mural of a 1950s-dressed couple appeared in Margate before it was swiftly removed by local council citing ‘safety concerns’.

The saga continues as Banksy keeps turning heads – but it looks like his latest Deal mural won’t be around for long.
