Sainsbury’s Fuel Station on Isle of Wight Remains Shut After Major Power Cut

Newport Filling Station Offline

The Sainsbury’s fuel station on Honeycross Way, Newport, is still closed this afternoon after a major power fault hit the site early this morning (Friday, August 10).

Staff Relocated Inside Store

With no power, staff have been moved into the store to continue serving customers while the filling station stays shut.

Contractors Rush to Fix Fault

The Newport store manager apologised for the inconvenience and confirmed contractors from the mainland are on the case. They hope to have power restored by late afternoon.
