Search Intensifies for Missing Gillingham Couple in Strood

Last Seen in Medway Towns

The hunt is on for missing couple Louis Bond and Rebecca Smallcalder, last spotted walking through the Medway Towns on Monday, 6 January 2025. Police now believe they may have travelled along roads near Darnley Road, Strood, heading towards Rede Common.

Striking CCTV Images Released

  • Louis Bond, 31: White, 5ft 5ins, slim build with a shaved head. CCTV shows him in all-black clothing and a light woollen hat, carrying a black rucksack.
  • Rebecca Smallcalder, 26: White, 5ft 11ins, slim build, dark hair in a ponytail. Seen wearing a black top, black trousers, black hat, and white trainers. May be carrying a plastic bag and grey handbag.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal

Chief Inspector Garry Cook urged:

“Our enquiries place Louis and Rebecca together in Strood. We are concerned for their welfare and want them to get in touch immediately. Friends, acquaintances, or anyone with info must call our appeal line.”

Check Your CCTV and Dashcams Now

Residents and businesses around Darnley Road and Rede Common are urged to review CCTV footage from after 4 PM, Monday 6 January. Motorists are also asked to check dashcam recordings from that time.
