Her mother, Zindzi Mandela—the youngest daughter of Nelson Mandela—and her first husband, Zwelibanzi Hlongwane, survive her. Despite recent scans showing signs of improvement, cancer had spread to her hip, liver, lungs, pelvis, brain, and spinal cord.
