Police launched a high-stakes swoop at London’s Euston Station this afternoon after reports of a suspicious item sparked chaos. At 2.45pm today (October 2), officers sealed off the entire station, forcing panicked commuters to flee as fire crews raced to the scene.
“London Euston Station evacuated. Police moved everyone away. Fire service now here. Anyone know what’s happening?” tweeted James Alford from the heart of the drama.
False Alarm Sparks Mass Evacuation
After a tense stand-off, police quickly confirmed the suspicious package was harmless. By 3.30pm, the all-clear was given, the cordon lifted, and services resumed, much to relief of stressed travellers across the city.
