Suspicious Duo Spotted Near Halstead School

Police are hunting two men caught acting suspiciously on Parsonage Street, Halstead, near Richard De Clare Primary School.

Woman’s Toddler At Centre of Creepy Incident

At around 10.40am on Thursday, 1 October, a woman pushing a toddler in a pushchair stopped briefly to remove a stone from her shoe. When she looked up, two men were right next to the pushchair, with one crouching down. She shouted at them and they bolted.

Police Describe Suspects

  • First man: White, late 30s to mid-40s, around 5ft 10in, muscular build. Wearing black hooded tracksuit and white Nike trainers.
  • Second man: White, late 30s to mid-40s, about 6ft tall, large build, bald. Dressed in black puffer jacket, blue jeans, and white Nike trainers.

Police Appeal: Community Urged to Help

Officers say there’s no evidence the child was touched, but the woman is understandably shaken. Police reassure the public this appears to be an isolated incident, unrelated to other cases circulating on social media.

“We are looking to trace the men and any witnesses to get a full understanding of the circumstances,” police said. “We appreciate the community’s concern.”
