McDonald’s Goes Regal for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

McDonald’s is pulling out all the stops to honour the Queen’s 70 years on the throne. As official partners of the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, they’re revamping classic menu items and adding a royal twist to their iconic jingle.

Majestic Makeover for the McDonald’s Jingle

The famous “ba da ba ba ba” tune has been transformed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. A 35-piece ensemble added brass, strings, percussion, and woodwind to make the jingle truly fit for a queen. This regal remix will replace the usual tune on all McDonald’s ads over the Jubilee weekend, paired with a new tagline: “one’s lovin’ it.”

Dine Like Royalty with Limited-Edition Packaging

McDonald’s is turning Big Mac meals into a classy affair. For the Platinum Jubilee, they’ve redesigned the Big Mac, Fries, and Milkshake packaging to resemble elegant china sets adorned with Jubilee-themed details. Only 70 of these limited-edition sets are up for grabs.

Fancy winning one? Enter via the McDonald’s App between May 31 and June 6. Winners will be announced on June 8.

The Quarter Pounder Gets a Royal Rename

In a cheeky nod to both royalty and pop culture, McDonald’s will rename their famous Quarter Pounder with Cheese as the ‘Royale with Cheese’ on June 2 and 3. This tribute references the iconic Pulp Fiction quote about the “metric system” and gives the burger a regal upgrade.

The ‘Royale with Cheese’ will cost just 99p on the McDonald’s App, £2.60 for everyone else, kicking off the Jubilee celebrations in style.

Bank Holiday Deals to Keep the Party Going

From June 4-5, McDonald’s will also offer a Spend £15, Save £5 deal on all orders placed through their app. The perfect way to feast like a queen or king all weekend long!
