McDonald’s Goes Full Royal for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee!
McDonald’s is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As proud partners of the Jubilee Pageant, the fast-food giant is shaking up its menu and ads to mark Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.
A Jingle Fit for a Queen
The iconic McDonald’s jingle — the famous “ba da ba ba ba” — has had a regal upgrade. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra reworked the tune with brass, strings, percussion, and woodwind to give it a majestic flair. This classy new version will replace the usual jingle on TV and radio ads throughout the Jubilee weekend, complete with the new tagline: “one’s lovin’ it.”
Win a Royal Feast: Limited-Edition China Sets
Fancy dining like royalty? McDonald’s is turning the classic Big Mac meal into a collector’s dream. The Big Mac, Fries, and Milkshake packaging have been reimagined as a posh china set decorated with Platinum Jubilee Pageant details.
- Only 70 sets are up for grabs.
- Fans can enter via the McDonald’s App from May 31 to June 6.
- Winners will be announced on June 8.
The Quarter Pounder Gets a Royal Rename
For two days only—June 2 and 3—the famous Quarter Pounder with Cheese will be rolled out as the “Royale with Cheese.” It’s a cheeky nod to the classic Pulp Fiction scene and adds a regal twist to the beloved burger.
The “Royale with Cheese” will be available for just 99p on the McDonald’s App, saving customers £2.60 as they kick off the Jubilee celebrations.
Plus, for the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend (June 4-5), McDonald’s is offering a Spend £15, Save £5 deal on all orders through the app. Now that’s royal treatment!
