A devastating collision between a silver Mercedes and a single-decker bus near Feltham prison has claimed three lives. The crash happened just before midnight on Monday, March 31, on Bedfont Road.
Mercedes Bursts Into Flames After Head-On Smash
Emergency teams raced to the scene after the Mercedes crashed head-on into the bus, bursting into flames on impact. Despite frantic efforts from firefighters, paramedics, and police, all three occupants of the car died at the scene.
“We are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to this tragic incident. We believe the silver Mercedes may have been speeding before the crash. We urge anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward,” said a police source.

The Catford and Chadwell Heath Serious Collision Investigation Unit has taken charge of the probe. Disaster Victim Identification officers are helping to confirm the identities of the deceased. Bedfont Road remains closed in both directions near the prison. Buses serving the area are being diverted locally, with the closure likely to last into the morning.
