Tim Burton’s Epic Exhibit Lands in London This October
This summer, London’s Design Museum is set to unveil The World of Tim Burton, a blockbuster exhibition celebrating five decades of the visionary filmmaker’s career. Fans can expect over 600 iconic items on display, including Jenna Ortega’s viral Wednesday dress and Michelle Pfeiffer’s legendary Catwoman suit.
Behind the Scenes of Burton’s Dark Fantasy Worlds
The UK’s first-ever Tim Burton exhibit promises a deep dive into the maestro’s creative genius. Visitors will explore unreleased projects, early sketches, and costumes from some of his most memorable films. Highlights include Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands outfit, the Martians from Mars Attacks!, the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, and Emily from Corpse Bride.
The exhibit culminates with a sneak peek at Burton’s upcoming flick, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, set for 2024.
Step Into Burton’s World – Studio, Soundscape, and Cinema
Visitors will get an intimate look at Burton’s creative process with a recreated studio space. A bespoke soundscape will bring his eerie, whimsical worlds to life. To cap it off, a vintage-style art deco cinema will screen a newly commissioned film about Burton’s key collaborators, echoing the cinemas that shaped his youth.
Global Sensation with London-Exclusive Additions
Since 2014, this travelling exhibition has dazzled fans in 14 cities across 11 countries. Now, London gets an exclusive upgrade with 90 brand-new items. Maria McLintock, the show’s curator, said:
“This hugely successful show has delighted audiences across the globe for over a decade, but our Design Museum reimagining, with many new additions and new narratives, means this will be an unprecedented opportunity to be immersed in Tim Burton’s unique and singular vision.”
The exhibit, opening October 25, showcases 18 films including Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Tickets are expected to sell out fast as fans scramble for a front-row seat inside the twisted, magical mind of Hollywood’s eccentric genius.
