Pair Charged Over £220,000 Grenfell Tower Fraud

A man and woman have been charged with fraud linked to the Grenfell Tower tragedy. Elaine Douglas and Tommy Brooks, both 51 and with no fixed address, face allegations involving more than £220,000.

Three Fraud Counts Each

On 1 and 2 May, Douglas and Brooks were hit with three counts of fraud by false representation. The pair appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 2 May, where they were remanded in custody.

Upcoming Court Date

The duo are set to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 30 May. The case will be closely watched given the ongoing fallout from the Grenfell Tower fire.
