Two Hampshire Police Officers Injured in M27 Horror Crash
Drama on the M27 this morning as two Hampshire Roads Policing officers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. The officers were struck by a car while attending a multi-vehicle smash on the westbound carriageway.
Rubberneck Crash Sparks Chaos
Initial reports say a pile-up on the westbound side caused a second collision on the eastbound due to rubbernecking. When the officers tried to cross the carriageway to investigate, a moving vehicle hit them.
Air Ambulances Called In
Both officers were treated at the scene by Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance crews before being rushed to hospital. An urgent investigation is now underway.
Road Closed – Drivers Urged to Avoid
The affected stretch of the M27 remains closed as police probe the incident. Motorists are advised to steer clear of the area until further notice. Hampshire Police have been contacted for comment.
