Two people were airlifted by Hampshire and Dorset air ambulances after collapsing with suspected heart attacks during Walk the Wight 2019. One was rushed to Bournemouth hospital, the other to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton.
Bystanders Step Up Amid Crisis
Both incidents happened at different points – one walker went down at Brook, the other at Highdown. Fellow participants quickly stopped to offer aid before emergency services arrived.
