Woman Rescued from River Thames in Dramatic Greenwich Incident

A woman was rushed to hospital after a tense rescue from the River Thames in Greenwich last night.

Emergency Services Race to the Scene

Just before 7.30pm on Sunday, June 9, police received urgent calls about a woman’s safety at Olympian Way, SE10. Emergency teams responded swiftly, pulling her from the water and getting her the treatment she needed.

Police Confirm Woman Receiving Treatment

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Olympian Way, SE10 at about 19:26hrs on Sunday, 9 June following concerns for the safety of a woman who entered the water.

“She was rescued and taken to hospital, where she remains under treatment. Her next of kin have been informed.”
