King Charles III’s Coronation Celebrated with Glamorous Reception in Delhi
The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, threw a star-studded reception and screening of King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s Coronation at his New Delhi residence today.

Across the UK, the Coronation sparked a special long weekend of celebrations. More than 280 British diplomatic missions worldwide joined in, hosting events to unite and celebrate the historic occasion.
Top Indian Dignitaries and Commonwealth Leaders Attend
The glamorous gathering saw big names from the Indian government, Commonwealth representatives, business moguls, and other VIPs. Ellis even teamed up with Chef Shaun Kenworthy to whip up a signature ‘Coronation Quiche’ for guests.
High Commissioner Praises Diverse Ceremony
“The Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen is a historic event. Today’s ceremony reflected a modern and diverse UK, with representatives from many faiths – including Hinduism, Sikhism, and Islam – carrying the Coronation Regalia,” said Ellis.
“His Majesty has had a long and enduring love for India and it is my privilege celebrating this moment with friends here in Delhi.”
