Green fingered thieves steal Eight Mowers

Police are appealing for information following a burglary at George Cann Garden Machinery in Hinton Ampner. The incident happened at some time between 5.30pm on Friday, March 17 and 7.50am on Saturday, March 18. The offenders cut a hole in the side of one of the units at the premises on Petersfield Road, allowing them access to the unit. They then stole at least eight ride on mowers. PC Lyn Owen, said: “The offenders would have needed to use at least two large vehicles to remove the stolen items from the site and it would have have required a certain amount of planning to carry out the burglary. “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone in the area acting suspicously or anyone who may have seen convoys of vehicles that may have been parked nearby. “I would also like to speak to anyone who has been offered any goods for sale which you think may have been stolen from this premises.
