Chingford Crash Horror: 73-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt in Early Morning Smash

Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a serious crash in Chingford left a 73-year-old man fighting for his life. The incident happened on Station Road at around 8am on Monday, 16 April, when the man’s vehicle mounted the kerb and smashed into a tree before crashing to a halt opposite 1 Station.

Man in Critical Condition After Crash

Police rushed to the scene following reports of the collision. The driver was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. So far, investigators believe no other vehicles were involved in the smash.

Witnesses at Bus Stop Called to Step Forward

Officers are urgently appealing to anyone who was at the bus stop outside Mobo bar at the time to come forward. “We need to speak to anyone who might have seen what happened,” said a police spokesperson.
