Third arrest in the murder of Joseph Williams-Torres

Detectives have made a third arrest in connection with the murder of Joseph Williams-Torres. A 20-year-old male was arrested in east London on 19 April on suspicion of murder. He was taken to an east London police station and has been bailed to return to a date in mid May. Previously, a 15-year-old boy was charged with murder on 20 March. He appeared in custody at Stratford Youth Court on Wednesday 21 March. A 17-year-old boy was charged with murder on Wednesday 21 March. He appeared at Stratford Youth Court on Thursday 22 March. This follows an incident in Essex Close, by the junction with Pretoria Avenue, E17 on the evening of Wednesday, 14 March. Joseph was found at the scene suffering a gunshot injury. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate.
