Predator Jailed for Targeting Young Girls Online
A twisted predator from Dagenham has been locked up for over seven years after targeting vulnerable girls for his own sick pleasure. Peter Michael Fisher, 20, was sentenced to seven and a half years at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Wednesday, 2 May.
Horrifying Crimes Against Girls Aged 13 to 16
Fisher pleaded guilty to multiple chilling offences including six counts of sexual communication with a child, causing or inciting children to engage in sexual acts, malicious communication, and possessing indecent images. His victims were eight girls aged between 13 and 16.
His vile crimes took place between October 2016 and September 2017, both from his home and during a family holiday in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Fisher used social media to groom and coerce his victims into abuse.
Police Praise Brave Victims and Warn Others
“I want to praise the children for their courage in coming forward,” said Detective Constable Steve Gradwell of the Met’s Child Sexual Exploitation Team (SET). “Many victims didn’t even realise they were being abused at first – Fisher used trust and intimate photos to manipulate them.”
Officers launched a nationwide investigation after arresting Fisher in August 2017. They tracked down victims across the UK and gathered overwhelming evidence. One shocking case involved Fisher having sex with a 15-year-old girl, fully aware she was underage.
Fisher admitted all charges after a full police interview and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely, as well as subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Speak Up If You’re a Victim
“If you’re worried about online abuse or someone sharing intimate pictures without your consent, don’t suffer in silence,” added Det. Const. Gradwell. “Contact police or report online via CEOP. Help is out there.”
Fisher pleaded not guilty to two malicious communication charges, which were subsequently dropped. Authorities warn he could have abused other victims and urge anyone who suffered at his hands to get in touch.
