Erith motorist charged after damage caused to multiple vehicles
A motorist from Erith alleged to have caused damage to eight other vehicles has been charged with offences including dangerous driving, drugs possession and possession of an offensive weapon. At around 3pm on Thursday 17 October 2019, patrols were alerted to a suspicious vehicle on Thames Road, Dartford. The driver is alleged to have driven at excess speed and collided with a car in Francis Road, as well as further vehicles in Burnham Road and in Crayford Road, where a woman was reported to have been injured. Nathanael Ekajeh, aged 21, of Cricketers Close, Erith was arrested the same day and later charged with aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, possession of criminal property, possession of an offensive weapon (namely a baseball bat), possession of cannabis and driving without insurance or a licence. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ 1 on Saturday 19 October 2019, where he was remanded in custody. The next hearing will take place at Maidstone Crown Court on 18 November.
