Dartford attempted knife-point robbery suspect charged

A suspected robber has been charged with being in possession of a knife, attempted robbery and criminal damage following an incident in Dartford. Kent Police was called in the morning of Friday 18 October 2019 to reports of the attempted robbery of a taxi driver in Ingress Gardens. The driver had been allegedly threatened with a knife and some of the vehicle’s windows were reported to have been smashed. Following enquiries, Alex Griffith, of Pacific Close, Swanscombe was arrested and charged on the same day. The 18-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrate’s Court on Saturday 19 October 2019. Following the hearing, he was released on bail to appear at Woolwich Crown Court at a date to be confirmed.
