Man Dies After Mysterious Head Injury on East London Street

Police rushed to Nelson Street, E1, after a 40-year-old man was found collapsed with a serious head injury at 10.30pm on Tuesday, 19 November. Despite emergency efforts, he tragically died two days later on Thursday, 21 November.

Homicide Detectives Launch Crucial Probe

Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives have taken over the case. Detective Inspector Perry Benton urged the public: “We’re in the early stages, but it’s vital anyone with information comes forward immediately.” He added, “If you were in the area that night and saw anything suspicious, please get in touch.”

No Arrests Yet – Police Seek Witnesses

  • Next of kin are receiving support from specialist officers.
  • A post-mortem is scheduled for Monday, 25 November, at Poplar Mortuary.
  • No arrests have been made so far.
