Over 1.1 Million COVID Tests Done as Death Toll Hits 28,131
Testing Hits Record High
As of 9am on 2 May, more than 1.1 million COVID tests have been carried out in the UK. A whopping 105,937 tests were completed just on 1 May alone.
Cases and Deaths Update
Out of 825,946 people tested, 182,260 have tested positive for the virus. Sadly, as of 5pm on 1 May, those who have lost their lives after testing positive across all settings now total 28,131.
