Tragic Leyton Crash: Motorbike Rider Dead After Smash with Range Rover
Police are hunting for witnesses and dash cam footage after a fatal collision in Leyton late Saturday night.
Deadly Collision at Leyton Junction
The crash occurred around 11pm on 30 May 2020 at the busy junction of High Road and Grove Green, Leyton E10. A blue Suzuki GSXR motorbike collided with a white Range Rover.
Emergency services, including the London Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, and Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. Sadly, the 27-year-old biker was pronounced dead at the scene. Formal identification is pending.
Driver Arrested Over Fatal Smash
The 20-year-old male behind the wheel of the Range Rover was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He is currently in custody at an East London police station being questioned.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
The Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the inquiry. Detectives urge anyone who saw the crash, or who has dash cam or mobile footage of the incident or events leading up to it, to come forward.
