Man Stabbed in Mitcham: Police Launch Major Hunt
Police were called at 5.30pm on Monday, 20 July following reports of an assault on Upper Green East, Mitcham. When officers arrived, the victim was nowhere to be found.
Victim Found at Hospital with Serious Injuries
Minutes later, a man in his early 30s turned up at a south London hospital with stab wounds. He is now in a critical condition.
Crime Scene and Section 60 Order in Place
A large crime scene has been set up in Mitcham as enquiries ramp up. So far, no arrests have been made.
To curb further violence, a Section 60 Order is active across Merton borough until 7am Tuesday, 21 July. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
