Officers also recovered over £1,000 in cash and two mobile phones from Paulo. He was charged with possession of heroin with intent to supply.

Paulo’s Dark Past: Previous Drug Bust Linked to County Lines

The no fixed abode dealer was also hit with charges for earlier offences on 11 May 2019. Back then, he was caught with heroin and cocaine during a drugs raid at a property on The Bayle, Folkestone.

Police swooped as Paulo stood with his arm out the window of the property. A package containing £460 worth of cocaine and around £100 of heroin was thrown from the window just as officers entered.

County Lines Connection

Investigations suggest Paulo was involved with the notorious ‘Josh and Jeff’ county line gang. At the time of his latest arrest, he was already being probed for the earlier drug offences.

Three and a Half Years Inside

On Monday 24 August at Canterbury Crown Court, Paulo pled guilty to three counts of possession with intent to supply. He was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars.

Detective Constable Jake Griffiths from Kent Police’s Chief Constable’s Crime Squad said: Kent Police will not tolerate county lines groups coming to Kent to exploit vulnerable people and I am pleased another dealer has been taken off the streets.”
