A huge blaze ripped through a large house in Kings Worthy early this morning, reducing it to ruins.
Six Fire Stations Battle Blaze
Fire crews from six stations rushed to Mortimer Close after multiple emergency calls flooded in. Teams from Winchester, Eastleigh, Sutton Scotney, Andover, Whitchurch, Fareham, and Ringwood joined the fight, supported by the Fire Command Unit and specialist HART paramedics from South Central Ambulance Services.
Neighbours Urged to Stay Indoors
Residents nearby were warned to keep doors and windows shut and avoid the area while firefighters tackled the inferno.
Owner Escapes Thanks to Smoke Alarm
The home’s smoke alarm saved the day, alerting the owner who escaped unharmed. Sadly, the property was completely destroyed, suffering 100% damage.
