Paedophile Hunter Snags Online Groomer at Bromley Station
Nicholas Dunn, 50, from Addlestone, faced Crown Court charged with three shock offences. He tried to meet a child after online sexual grooming, engaged in sexual communication with a child, and incited a child into sexual activity.
Horrific Online Messages to 11-Year-Old Girl
The court heard Dunn targeted an online profile of an 11-year-old girl. Using the app name “Nick,” he fired off multiple sexually explicit messages, aiming to lure the child into sexual contact.
Paedophile Hunters Intervene at Bromley Train Station
On 11th July 2020, Dunn arranged to meet the girl at Bromley South train station. But instead of a child, vigilantes from the paedophile hunting group Shadow Hunters confronted him. After quizzing Dunn about his online activity, they called the police and handed over their evidence.
Sentenced but Suspended – Tough Conditions Imposed
Dunn was arrested and sentenced to 18 months in custody, suspended for 24 months. He must register as a sex offender for 10 years and abide by a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
