Blaze Rips Through Charing Home
Firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue are still battling a fierce house fire in Charing. Five fire engines and a height vehicle were scrambled to Downs Way after flames broke out.
Fire Starts Upstairs, Roof Collapses
The blaze reportedly began in an upstairs bedroom of the two-storey house, quickly spreading to the roof, which has now collapsed. Thankfully, all residents have been accounted for.
One Woman Treated for Smoke Inhalation
A woman in her early 40s suffered smoke inhalation and was treated by SECAmb paramedics at the scene. Fire crews continue to fight the fire amid tough conditions.
Cause of Fire Unknown
Investigations are ongoing into what sparked the fire. Kent Fire and Rescue urge anyone with information to come forward.
