Cambridge Drug Duo Caught with Heroin and Crack in County Lines Crackdown
Police on a missing person call stumbled on a serious drugs bust in Cambridge on 1 May. David Ture, 19, was found smoking cannabis inside a property in Cadwin Field.
When officers searched Ture, from London’s Bloomsbury Street, they found two mobile phones and a paper listing phone numbers – classic signs of county lines dealing.

In a dramatic twist, 18-year-old Alex Barros from Shrewsbury was also arrested. A search uncovered three mobile phones, cash, and a meat cleaver in his rucksack. At the police station, Barros coughed up 15 wraps of heroin and 13 wraps of crack cocaine.
Cambridge Crown Court Delivers Stiff Sentences
Both men faced justice at Cambridge Crown Court on 13 November after being found guilty of possession with intent to supply crack and heroin. Ture got three years and four months behind bars, while Barros received three years.
“Tackling county lines is a priority for us,” said Detective Constable Matt Smith. “We’re committed to bringing dealers like Ture and Barros to justice and safeguarding the vulnerable people they prey on.
