Shots Fired in Suspected Drive-By Near Baby’s Home
Armed police swooped on a property on Ladbrooke Grove just before 10pm on Saturday after reports of gunfire through a window. The Met’s elite SO19 firearms squad was scrambled to the scene near the fire station, responding to a suspected drive-by shooting.
Specialist Units Lead Investigation
The Met’s Operation Trident team, led by Detective Chief Superintendent Dean Haydo, is working alongside specialist officers to crack the case. A search of the property uncovered several bullets, now being examined for forensic clues.
Baby in Room as Bullets Flew
Shockingly, a young baby was in the front room when the shots ricocheted through the window. The child was shaken but not injured in the frightening ordeal.
“A man has reportedly been arrested for discharging the firearm,” sources say, though this remains unconfirmed by police.
The Met has refused to comment, calling the investigation an intelligence-led operation. Efforts to get a statement remain ongoing.
