Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Brentwood Hit-and-Run
Martin Stokes, 27, homeless, was arrested on Saturday, 10 April. He faces charges including attempted murder, two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH), dangerous driving, and violent disorder.
Brutal Crash Outside Popular Nightspot
The arrest follows a harrowing incident outside The Sugar Hut on Brentwood High Street. At around 3:10am on Sunday, 2 April 2017, three people were struck by a vehicle. All victims were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Next Steps in the Case
Stokes is set to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Monday, where the case will proceed.
